Are you thinking about going snowboarding this year, but you have no idea where you want to go? Well, you came to the right place because here are a couple of snowboarding places you should visit.
Vail, Colorado
The Vail, Colorado snowboarding & skiing resort is “one of the top and snowboard destinations in Colorado” (Evo). This resort has a lot to offer with their 5,289 acres of snowboarding area to look forward to. Since the mountain is very big, you should not spend your whole day trying to get from one side to the other. That takes the fun out of snowboarding. There are lifts on the mountain, but you have to purchase tickets to ride on the lift. If you don’t know how to snowboard, that’s okay because the people at the resort can teach you how. They do lessons for children 3-14 years old or for adults 15+, and you choose what level you would like to learn. They also do equipment rentals, if you don’t have any, so you just book what day you want to pick up the equipment and what day you would like to drop it off. Check out Vail, Colorado!
Whiteface Mountain, New York
Located in Wilmington, New York, Whiteface Mountain is the fifth-highest mountain in New York. There is a resort as well called Whiteface Lake Placid, where you can stay while you spend the day snowboarding or checking out the other things that they offer. Spending your day at Whiteface is about more than just fun snowboarding. It's about enjoying time with your friends and family. It's about having fun and about breathing mountain air. It's about sharing stories over a cup of hot chocolate! At Whiteface, come on and off the slopes, find seven restaurants to grab a bite and relax in, shop at the ski shop, their Brookside Apparel, and lots more. When you do get back out on the trails, the Ski Patrol is there for your safety. If you have any questions about Whiteface and their policies, look for the mountain hosts in the orange Whiteface jackets. Check out Whiteface Mountain in New York!
Jackson Hole, Wyoming
Jackson Hole is a beautiful and special place unlike any destination in the world. If this is your first time snowboarding, there is a “First Timer's Guide” (Jacksonhole.com) for people who are looking for ideas on what to do when they first get there at the resort. At this resort they offer adult lessons, kids lessons & camps, multi-day camps, private lessons, daycare, and more! They have rentals here, they offer lift tickets, and they even have a Jackson Hole Insider app where you can access key information, such as daily snow and weather reports, up-to-the-minute lift, and mountain status information, top-to-bottom webcams, real-time parking lots availability, grooming conditions, interactive maps, eser stats and tracking, special promotions, and more (Jacksonhole.com). There is even a summer menu, if you were to travel to Jackson Hole in the summer. There are so many amazing things you can do here at the resort. Check out Jackson Hole, Wyoming!
