Trump Walks Out

Callista Weaver

According to New York Times, Donald Trump left on Thursday to go to McAllen, Texas. He did not want to talk about a crisis on the border. Democrats often say this crisis doesn't exist. Donald Trump briefly talked to reporters and left the possibility of declaring a state of emergency open. Doing this could allow him to bypass Congress to fund the wall.

Donald Trump had a contentious meeting on Wednesday. This meeting consisted of Democratic and Republican leaders. Nancy Pelosi, the speaker, rejected his overture to reopen the government in exchange for wall funding. After she rejected it,Trump stormed out of the room. Trump then tweeted this: “Cryin Chuck told his favorite lie when he used his standard sound bite that I “slammed the table & walked out of the room. He had a temper tantrum.” Because I knew he would say that, and after Nancy said no to proper Border Security, I politely said bye-bye and left, no slamming!”
