Are you in the mood to make something creative? Here are some cute and simple DIY’s that you can make yourself without buying anything expensive.

Pom Pom Mouse Pad

Here's what you’ll need:

Cork trivet (The one in the picture is 7" square and 1/2" thick)

Martha Stewart Multi-Surface Craft Paints

Letter stencil

Pom poms (3/8" - 1/2" size)

Foam brush

Hot glue gun

First, get your foam brush and cover the top and sides of the trivet with 2-3 coats of paint, letting it dry between coats. Next, use a second color of paint and a letter stencil to add your initial or monogram. Make sure that it is positioned in the bottom corner of the mouse pad. Tape it down with masking tape and use a small amount of paint on the foam brush and brush up and down. Lastly, take your hot glue gun and cover about an inch at a time on the side of the mouse pad, so that you can start putting on your pom poms along the whole mouse pad. Now you have a cute new mouse pad for your computer!

Mini Spring Succulent Planters

Here's what you’ll need:

Marble hexagon tile

Colorful large plastic Easter eggs

Gold Leaf Pen

Hot Glue

First, take your Easter eggs and open them, but break the top part of the egg and keep the bottom part of the egg. Next, use your gold leaf pen to color the top edge of the bottom portion of the egg. There should be the inset section of the egg that you will want to paint gold. This helps disguise the fact that the little planters are made from plastic eggs and gives a nice gold accent to the planters. Now, use the hot glue gun to fill any holes at the bottom of the egg; a small dot of the glue gun will work. Then, use the hot glue to affix one egg bottom to one piece of the marble hexagon tile, and repeat with all your other eggs and tile pieces. Finally, take your egg and fill it with potting soil, and put your baby succulents inside the soil. Enjoy your cute DIY plant for any room in your house!

Cloud Light

Want to make a cool Cloud Light for your room? Well, let's get started!

Here's what you’ll need:

6 Paper Lanterns (it’s up to you if you want to have less or more)

Fishing Line

Wooden Dowel

Batting (stuffing you can buy from any craft or fabric store)

2 Cup Hooks ( to hang from the ceiling)

Glue Gun

To begin, take your glue gun and start gluing the batting onto the paper lanterns. Each lantern will become one of your clouds. Next, cut the fishing line to the length you would like for them to hang from the ceiling. You’ll need to cut two pieces, one for each side of the dowel. Tie fishing line to both ends of the dowel. You may want to measure the length of both after you have tied them to make sure the measurements are the same. Trim them to match, if needed. Then tie the hanging ends of your line to the tops of your lanterns to hang your clouds, one by one. Lastly, hang your string lights and plug them in. (You can connect all the strings together so you only have to plug one of them into the wall).
