James Mitsch, Freshman
On Friday, October 24, 2019, the football senior night took place at Palisades High School. There were five seniors that were recognized at this event: Gus Yocum, Bobby Snyder, Joe Worthington, Zach Shoemaker, and Zach Wylie. On senior night, they focus on the seniors and their accomplishments throughout football and in school. Also, they touch on what they want in their future plans.
These five have had a rough senior season with only winning two games going into their final game in the season. Throughout the season, the seniors never quit and kept moving forward even through all of the games that were lost. They led the team well and kept pushing everyone else to give 100% effort and never quit. During senior night, they said their accomplishments during football.
All five of the seniors have good behavior in school and are leaders in the classroom. They represent the team in the classroom as they should. Even off of the field, they are leaders for the underclassmen and the rest of the school. During the event, they did say what they do during school, the clubs they are in, and the rest of the sports they participate in.
All of the seniors have bright futures and will be helping society in good ways. The announcers said what colleges they want to go to, what their future jobs may be, and how they will settle down and have a good life. Saying this during senior night really makes it special because it shows that they are growing up and that after the game they are now focusing on other things.
The senior night was a great thing to do and it was a nice final night of football for the seniors.
