Malachi Stiansen, Sophomore
Palisades basketball tryouts are tomorrow, November 19! Palisades boys basketball looks to improve off an impressive season last year. The boys had a 10-8 record and were the first team in Palisades history to make league and district playoffs in the same year. Last year’s team had some outstanding players to shape up the team for this year. Liam Carey, point guard, was named First Team All League, granting him the title as one of the five best players in the league. Brandon Moan and Malachi Stiansen were named Third Team All League. Three starters from last year are rejoining, and together, the team is expected to lead the team to more wins this season.
Notre Dame will be the first game this year. Palisades lost to them in the league playoffs, 76-73. So, the boys are eager to get revenge. The team lost to Salisbury in districts, so they are looking to improve from last year. As they have been working all off-season together, the team has better chemistry this year. Lifting, running drills, and practicing shots have helped us grow. Coach Phil is in his third year, and he is looking to keep up the winning culture.
This will be the first year in a while that fans can come to the games!
Please support the boys basketball team!
