On January 7th, 1997, a Heisman trophy winner and future NFL MVP was born Lamar Demeatrice Jackson Jr. After a rookie season of many ups and downs in 2018, many people and teams were optimistic on what the sophomore season would look like for QB Lamar Jackson. Through a lot of disrespect and discouragement, Lamar Jackson shocked everyone and took the NFL by storm this past season by throwing 3,127 yards, 36 touchdowns, and only 6 interceptions. Lamar is and should be everyone's favorite at MVP this season as he was elected as a starter for his first pro bowl and led his team, the Baltimore Ravens, to AFC North champs and the #1 seed in the AFC for a first round bye in the playoffs. Some of his many accomplishments in the beginning of a great career include a Heisman trophy, 2 times ACC player of the year, a Pro Bowl selection, the 2019 TD leader in the NFL, 1st team all pro in the NFL, and breaking Michael Vick’s ridiculous single season QB rushing record. Lamar Jackson will be the youngest quarterback with a perfect passing rating and playoff start. Lamar Jackson is about to be the NFL’s youngest MVP since Jim Brown in 1957. Lamar Jackson is only 23 years old and just starting his career, and if he continues to produce these numbers year after year, he will be a sure hall-of-famer and maybe one of the greatest of all time. Watch Lamar and the Ravens battle the Tennessee Titans this Sunday in the Divisional Round of the NFL playoffs.
