Men's Fall Fashion

Nicholas Caldwell, Junior

Fashion is an ever changing industry and brands frequently pull from the archives to find inspiration for current productions.

This past spring, at the men's fall/winter shows, global trends expressed a deep interest for the nineties with belt bags, fur (which is soon to go with brands like Burberry dropping real fur from their production), and a variety of textiles ranging from checks to leather to technical windbreakers adorned in hues of teal, purple and neon orange. Tan and black tones are sure to find their way back into style as “norm-core” becomes more prevalent. According to Vogue, "norm-core" is the deliberate decision to appear normal through unremarkable or unfashionable casual clothes.

Consumers are now striving to separate from logomania and rediscover individuality and practical design through top label brands like Balenciaga and Saint Laurent (a.k.a. YSL). One of the largest trends however isn’t fashion directly, but rather, how fashion is being acquired. E-commerce markets are growing rapidly with worldwide revenue expected to nearly double from $481B to $712.9 B by the year 20223.
