The Jeep Wrangler and BMW M5 Review

Logan Duke, Freshman

We have reached the age where many cars rolling off the product lines are fully electric. However, some of the cars rolling off the lines are still gas. The two cars I’m going to explain came from gas-powered engines, but many new cars are converted into electric because everybody thinks electric is the best thing for the cars. The Jeep Wrangler is more of an off-road vehicle and with its new electric mode it should do a lot better with the off-road environment.

The Jeep Wrangler

  • The total driving range for the Jeep before it has to recharge is 370 miles, which is a lot for any car

  • This jeep is special because it can switch between gas and electric, which no other car has done before, by having electric, Hybrid, and E-save mode

  • Another cool feature about this Jeep is that when the car is coming to a brake the battery recharges

  • The Jeep’s battery takes about 2 hours to charge with a level 2 charger and with a level 1 charger, it can take up to 12 hours

The BMW M5

  • The new BMW M5 comes in over 12 different base colors that the dealership makes, but you can order a special color also

  • The engine that is in the BMW is 4.4 v8 with a twin turbo Bi-turbo with an advanced cooling system and a unique oil pan design

  • On all the tracks out the corners are always the hardest to take, but with the amazing hunk of metal you can go through those corners like a breeze

  • Without the competition package you can get through the factory, the base model makes 617 horsepower

  • The BMW M5 has an adjustable 4WD and 2WD for anything the roads decides to lay in your way
