Adam Levine is leaving The Voice after sixteen seasons, and he will end up losing $30 million dollars. Levine signed up for two more seasons with the TV show, The Voice, but ended up leaving the deal and, ultimately, losing $30 million. This loss is caused by Levine´s net worth, which is $14 million per season. According to The Hollywood Reporter, this departure was not planned, but Levine states that he had grown increasingly anxious to leave the show. Levine posted a farewell to the show on his Instagram about how the show had grown special to him and how there are no hard feelings between the show and him. Fortunately, they ended on ambiance terms.
The show has taken a hard toll on Levine due to the rigorous shooting schedule. Compared to other TV shows, they can knock out multiple episodes at a time and, they receive $1 million per episode. This does not factor in the time Levine takes to record new songs in the studio or travel on tour. Levine and his costar Blake Shelton have been the only two consistent coaches on the TV show, while others have just been cycled through. It has been said that Levine has seemed unenthusiastic about the show recently, which may have contributed to his departure.
The Voice is not the only up and coming musical show on the NBC network. In fact, other shows like Songland have a brighter future than The Voice and will most likely continue with more seasons. Songland is actually produced by Levine and has received high viewer numbers
