The late singer Whitney Houston is to be inducted into the 35th annual Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. On Wednesday, Houston along with other artists- dead and alive- are being introduced into the hall of fame. These artists and bands include the Doobie Brothers, T. Rex, Depeche Mode, The Notorious B.I.G, and Nine Inch Nail. These inductees were picked out of 16 other bands and artists. Artists and members of the music industry voted in a ballot to determine the winners. Entertainment legends Jon Landau and Irving Azoff will also be receiving the Ahmet Ertegun Award for their work in the music industry. The official induction ceremony will be aired on television on May 2 at the Cleveland Hall of Fame and will feature special unknown guests. Although Houston died in 2012 of drowning in hotel bathroom at age 48, she is being remembered as one of the most successful female recording artists of all time.
