Multiple reports of child abuse have been reported in a children’s facility run by Southwest Key in Arizona.
According to Mary Jo Pitzl, a reporter for USA Today, there are surveillance videos and photos of these innocent children being beaten and shoved against walls. Neither the state health department or Southwest Key will comment.
In one incident, surveillance cameras got footage of a male caretaker pulling a young boy into one of the rooms and shoving him against the wall and slapping him. The boy struck back but missed. The caretaker then locked the boy in the room and left him screaming and banging against windows to be rescued.
Footage captured two other workers pulling screaming children through a conference room and into a separate room while other workers were going about their business in the conference room.
A third video was uncovered and showed a classroom being disrupted by a caretaker, but his/her exact actions are not known.
Southwest key spokesman Jeff Eller would not elaborate on these incidents but he did pledge to retrain all caretakers and allowed the authorities to suspend all operations from the faculty.
