The AFC and NFC Divisional Round games for the NFL were played this past weekend, and the Kansas City Chiefs shocked everyone in their matchup against the Houston Texans. The Chiefs won the AFC Divisional Round game against the Texans this past Saturday after overcoming a 24-0 deficit in the second quarter. From special teams blunders, to dropped passes on offense, the Chiefs had a very rocky start to this game to say the least. The Texans marched down the field three times and recovered a blocked punt for a touchdown in the first 20 minutes of this crucial AFC game. When all hope seemed lost, Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes took control of the game and scored 28 unanswered points in the second quarter, making the score 28-24 going into the half. The Chiefs rode this momentum in the second half, scoring 23 more points and limiting the Texans to one touchdown in the third quarter. The game ended with a final score of 51-31 with the Chiefs reigning victorious after making a historic comeback in such a huge playoff game. The Chiefs offense was absolutely explosive all game, with QB Patrick Mahomes throwing five touchdowns and having 350 total yards. After breaking seven records in this epic comeback win, Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs look to face the Tennessee Titans in the AFC Championship Game at 3:05 pm ET on Sunday.
