Actor Leonardo DiCaprio follows in the footsteps of his role in Titanic
by saving a man after he fell off a cruise ship. On New Years Eve, DiCaprio, girlfriend Camila Morrone, and friends were vacationing near St. Barts in the Bahamas. Their captain was notified of an incident of a man falling off a cruise ship in the area. DiCaprio, the crew, and friends decided to aid in the search for this man. Chances were slim, as the captain estimated that there was a one in a billion chance that the man had survived the fall and managed to stay afloat in the ocean. With no boats actively searching in the area, DiCaprio's boat was the only one attempting to find and save the man's life. When approaching a nearby Island, Saba Island, Dicaprio and the crew spotted the 24-year-old Frenchman and helped him aboard and then to the coast guard. The man not only managed to survive the fall from the ship, but also treaded water in the Carribean Sea for 11 hours. Sources are calling the actions of Dicaprio, his friends and the crew reminiscent of a real life Jack Dawson!
