Today, Monday, January 13, is National Rubber Ducky Day. A lot of you are probably wondering why today is National Rubber Ducky Day. Well according to 1973 Sesame Street calendar, January 13 is the character Rubber Duckie’s birthday. Therefore, they decided to make January 13 National Rubber Ducky Day in honor of Rubber Duckies birthday. The actual rubber ducky toy was first made in the late 1800’s. Although the rubber duckies were first made in the 1800’s, Landon Lawerence received the first patent for rubber duckies. Rubber duckies are still made to this day, but kind of evolved in a way. They are now made in different shapes, animals, or characters. Happy National Rubber Ducky Day to all who love rubber duckies and Happy Birthday Rubber Duckie!📷
