For those who have been anxiously awaiting the 2020 Oscar nominations, your in luck! Today the award show nominations have finally been revealed for the 92nd annual Oscars. For this years host-less Oscars, the movie nominees reflect similarly to the 2019 Golden Globes. For best picture the nominees are, "Ford v. Ferrari", "The Irishman", "Jojo Rabbit", "Joker", "Little Women", "Marriage Story", "1917", "Once Upon a Time in Hollywood", and "Parasite". Best director nominees are, Martin Scorsese- “The Irishman”, Todd Phillips- “Joker”, Sam Mendes- “1917”, Quentin Tarantino- “Once Upon a Time in Hollywood”, Bong Joon Ho- “Parasite”. The movie "Joker" received the most nominations with 11 total and "The Irishman" trailed with 10 nominations. The 2020 Oscars are big for recognising foreign films such as "Parasite", as it received 6 nominations and is the first South Korea film to do so. Nominations for best adapted screenplay include, “The Irishman” “Jojo Rabbit”, “Joker”, “Little Women”, and “The Two Popes”. And nominations for best original screenplay are, “Knives Out”, “Marriage Story”, “1917”, “Once Upon a Time in Hollywood”, and “Parasite”.
