Preceding Alexandria Ocasio Cortez's, the youngest congresswoman yet, commencement into Congress, a video of her dancing for a Boston University project. In this video, she is dancing among a rooftop with her peers, as well as the Boston University bulldog. Many believed this to be a republican attack to belittle or embarrass AOC, as she is commonly known among her supporters.
Rather the video may have backfired on those who intended negativity with it. Many self-proclaimed twitter politicians supported AOC’s ability to let loose and realize that there is time for fun in the daily politicians life. One twitter user even claimed “I love how Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez has turned American politics into a live action Footloose. People dancing!? Oh the horror! Where will it end?”
