Palisades goalie Steven Yannentt had some close saves in the last fifteen minutes, keeping the score at 0-2 with Palisades down.
Senior Ash Foster (number 17) was pushed up from defense to mid for this period. Junior Caleb Johnson (number 19) was pushed back to defense for this period with hopes to strengthen their defensive line. Freshman Seth Ford (number 11) has proved his prowess all season, scoring numerous goals for the Pirates. Wyatt Hemmert, another promising freshman, has worked hard to keep Saucon Valley from scoring all throughout the game.
Fifteen minutes into the second period, Steven Yannentt continued to make good saves at the goal, preventing the Saucon Valley Panthers from scoring a third goal. Bryce Guthier (number two), worked hard to keep the ball in play, working to set his teammates up for a goal.
With 20 minutes left in the game, Saucon Valley scored a tough third goal, while Palisades defenses worked hard to stop their advances. With 7 minutes and 20 seconds left in the game, Eli Lerch (number 13) almost scored Palisades first goal of the game, with the ball barely being stopped by Saucon Valley's goalie. Bruce Guthier (number 2) drove the ball down the field with 2 minutes left in the game, also getting close to scoring Palisades first goal of the game.
The game ended with a final score of 0-3 with the Pirates down. It was a tough loss for the Pirates, but everyone played well and worked hard. Palisades Boys Soccer’s record now stands at nine wins and twelve losses, while Saucon Valley’s record is now twelve wins and seven losses.
