On New Year’s Day, 17 years old Connor Golembiewski died after falling at least 20 feet from the ski lift. Fox News states that other reports believe the fall was double the distance when the New Jersey teen fell around 11:30 am. It is unknown if he was using the lift bar which locks the skiers in the ski lift to prevent accidents. The unfortunate event was at the Blue Mountain Resort in the Pocono Mountains and the cause of death was multiple blunt force trauma.
Golembiewski was a junior at Hunterdon Central Regional High School and a member of the New Jersey Renegades Hockey Club. The NJ Renegades give their respect as friends and family reminisce about Golembiewski’s loyal and hardworking personality. The mourning family will be in our hearts as Blue Mountain looks into providing more secure safety measures.
