As the government shutdown continues into its third week, we are braced with more repercussions of Trump's actions. His ideology of shutting down the government to acquire money for “building the wall” has impacted the US in a variety of ways, but many of them leaning towards the negative side. With workers not getting paid, US National parks are failing to operate, Government workers are failing to succeed, and now the Transportation Security Administration for airports are being affected.
Miami International Airport is taking the full side effect of this government shutdown. Recently this week, many TSA workers have been paid, only to realize that they have made $0. As of now, many TSA workers are volunteering to make sure that those traveling can get to where they need to be, safely. Without going through TSA you cannot fly, so without these agents there would be no travel. Miami International Airport just shut down one of its American Airline Terminals, leaving not only TSA workers without a job, but also airport employees, like flight attendants and captains.
