Protesting Restricted Entrance into Hindu Sabarimala temple

Five million women formed a 620km (2+ million feet) human chain in Kerala, India to protest the traditional ban on matured women approaching Hindu Sabarimala temple. In 2018 India overturned the ban, yet women still continued to be restricted from approaching. According to Twitter, the human wall is being called The Women’s Wall, or Vanitha Mathil, and has been initiated by CPIMKerala and over 170 social/political have supported this movement that was arranged and announced over a month ago. It was planned for 3 million women to participate, and the numbers have exceeded that, extending all the way from Kasargod to Thiruvananthapuram.
